New temperature-controlled air cargo container released

Envirotainer’s latest temperature-controlled air cargo container, designed for the healthcare and hi-tech industry, has received an airworthiness certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency.

The RAP e2 container features electrical heating and compressor cooling to maintain product temperature anywhere in the –25 to +50°C range.

CEO Thomas Persson said Envirotainer had been working closely with shippers and airlines to attain the new standard for the containers, which would be gradually added to the fleet from next month.

“Launching the RAP e2 container to complement our e-technology fleet is an important step in offering our customers the possibility to ship larger quantities of temperature-sensitive goods with

very strict temperature requirements,” he said.

“This segment of the market is growing and so are the volumes of the individual shipments.”
