All India Port & Dock Workers Federations have called for ONE DAY NATIONWIDE strike on 6th April 2011.
A meeting of 5 Federations held at Mumbai on 8th March 2011, decided to declare a one day token strike on 6th April 2011 for not implementing various Union demands which were agreed upon by the Shipping Ministry.
