Although continuing to insist that there is nothing wrong with the Trent 900 engine used on the A380, despite the uncontained failure that left a hole in the wing of a Qantas A380 and rained down bits of engine over the Indonesian island of Batam - engine maker Rolls-Royce has come up with a solution that has multiple contingencies built into it. And it also boasts the largest carbon footprint of any aircraft in the world (yes even bigger than the AN-225)...yay!
