Airport facility will boost Hyderabad as leading gateway to South Asia
Lufthansa Cargo (LC) has opened a new pharma hub at Hyderabad Airport in India.
The new facility is part of plans announced by LC and airport operator GMR Group to jointly develop the airport into the key hub in South Asia for the transport of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
The LC hub has been certified as meeting the complex requirements for the transport of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals – the first in Lufthansa Cargo’s global network to be awarded this status.
Christopher Dehio, Senior Manager, Global Key Accounts Temperature Control at LC, said: “With the certification of key stations, we are strengthening our commitment to transporting temperature-sensitive shipments.”
