In view of the private trailer strikes during the past month, the congestion inside and
outside the Port has been building up. In order to decongest the Port, it was
proposed by CCTL and unanimously agreed by Feeder operators and Shipping lines to restrict export gate carting for two weeks starting from 21st July to 4th August 2011 for
all feeder and mainline vessels calling Chennai.
Effective 21st July to 4th August 2011, export gate carting at CCTL terminal will be
restricted
