Strike at GTI is called off the port situation is still not back to normal.
Please be informed that since 11TH August 2011 1030 hrs GTI gate was closed due to an accident caused on route to the gate. All trailers were stopped prior to the gate entry, the area was cordoned off by the police which caused a traffic jam. It is now learnt that settlement between the local villagers and the terminal is going on. We understand that the terminal will soon start its operation. It will take a while for the congestion to get sorted.
Due to traffic congestion and frequent stoppage of work at the terminal all movements including gating in and loading operations have been effected. Below are some of the photographs of the congestion and traffic snarls.
