JNPT port is still running 7 – 9 days behind schedule as berthing congestion is yet to be streamlined.
Vessels that have already arrived Nhava Sheva are anchored due to non-availability of berthing window and the situation is expected to prevail till end of monsoon.
Hence discretion to cut and sail is inflicted by port authorities.
NSICT
Due to high yard inventory and operational constraints there are restrictions in move count avoiding further clogging at this terminal thus leading to frequent prepone of gates without any prior notification.
Also heavy traffics snarl's near terminal gates prevails.
GTI
Since Gateway Terminals India is the most preferred and suitable option of most carriers, the port operations have already been accelerated and complete beforehand for each vessel berthed avoiding any spill overs.
Hence any container that could not be gated in within mandatory timeline gets booked for subsequent vessel and is removed from liners load list for intended sailing.
