Trailers Strike at Chennai
Import and Export movements to and from Chennai port has been suspended since last evening due to issues between the trailer drivers and custom officials. Currently vessel side operations continue at both the terminals, however, if the trailer strike continues, there could be an impact.
Strike continues to impact road movement of trailers and there are significant delays in offloading of containers. Congestion at the Port with Trailers is creeping up.
